When considering something, it is important to have a perspective that does not take that view for granted, but to reevaluate the view itself.
The original meaning of “meta” comes from the Greek word “meta. It is translated as “higher” or “beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I examine myself, “I thought I was a good listener, but am I really a good listener?”. Maybe you have misunderstood what it means to be a good listener. You may realize that you think you know, but you don’t really know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you ever heard of Socrates’ phrase, “Ignorance of the unknowable”?
Socrates says, “The starting point for true knowledge is to be aware of what we do not know. That’s very suggestive”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Metacognition” is to “recognize what one is aware of,” which means to “look at oneself objectively” or “look down on oneself.
“Meta-thinking” is a way of thinking based on this metacognition. The following three points may explain why meta-thinking is necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can gain the “awareness” that will help us grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can break free from our assumptions and habits of thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creative thinking based on awareness and expanded thinking<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It goes without saying that the executive level of management requires a perspective that is a step higher than that of ordinary employees and managers.
