Depending on the personality of each individual and the level of knowledge and maturity of the client regarding the subject matter they perceive as a challenge, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to how the coach should be involved to ensure effective session management.

Some clients want sessions to be rigorously managed in order to achieve their goals, while others want sessions to focus on self-recognition and praise. Coaches are supposed to respond to each of these requests, but the same client may need to be handled differently depending on his or her situation and state of mind at the time.

It is also important to focus on the client’s personality and type in order to develop the most appropriate coaching approach for the client.
We use the terms “extrovert” and “introvert” as a matter of course in our daily lives, but it was the psychologist Jung who first introduced these types to the world. Let me explain this by focusing on the movement of mental energy.
In the introvert type, the mental energy is literally directed inward, toward the inner subjective rather than the object. The extrovert type, on the other hand, views mental energy as outwardly directed, with interests directed toward external circumstances and persons.

Jung further elaborates on both of these attitudes, but for the coaching stance, it is best to leave it at this. In other words, coaching requires a flexible attitude that responds to the situation at hand, without being bound by stereotypes.

Each client is unique. At the same time, their requests for session management are also unique. The coach listens and asks questions in order to elicit the client’s needs. In the process, there may be times when it is difficult to grasp the client’s needs. In such cases, it is necessary to go back to the starting point.

A two-way relationship in which both parties are free to put on and take off the costume.
Sessions are diverse, varied, and individualized.
The sessions are ongoing, deepening as they are repeated and continued.
This is why the three principles of coaching exist.

In addition to their expectations of coaching, clients have a wide range of desires regarding how sessions should be managed.
