Basically, coaching is a relationship that is effective for people who are not satisfied with their current situation and who want to achieve some goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expectations&#8221; exist for clients seeking coaching. One of Drucker&#8217;s four principles of communication, &#8220;expectations,&#8221; is a perspective that can be applied to &#8220;expectations&#8221; in coaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Clients ask for coaching in order to receive support in achieving their desired goals. The form of support received will vary from client to client. Prior to the start of coaching, the client clarifies what his or her expectations are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The client&#8217;s expectations may change over the course of the session. Coaching is for the benefit of the client. You should always be willing and able to make an effort to meet the client&#8217;s expectations, so it is a good idea to check &#8220;what are their expectations&#8221; at every milestone in the session. Meeting the client&#8217;s expectations is directly related to their satisfaction and your reputation as a coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Clients do not always know exactly what they expect from coaching. Sometimes, over the course of a session, what they really expect is clarified.
