Today, it is widely used in political and social activities, and in management in general. Its meaning is to set direction on the most important issues at a high level. Therefore, in coaching we also use the term &#8220;strategy&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A related term is &#8220;tactics&#8221;. Tactics are methods to achieve individual objectives in accordance with a &#8220;strategy,&#8221; which is a major direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In coaching, &#8220;strategy&#8221; refers to the direction and direction in which the session is run to help the client take action toward achieving the real goal. In other words, the strategy of the session is what is focused on and achieved in the session.<br>There are two types of strategies: short-term strategies for each session and long-term strategies for a period of months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Identifying and Sharing Strategies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether long-term or short-term, it is critical that the coach and client mutually identify and share strategies at the beginning or during the coaching session, in order to move the session in the direction the client wants it to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Long-Term Strategies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A long-term strategy is a strategy that is several months in the making. Coaching engagements are usually ongoing over a period of three to six months, with a theme of some kind. The long-term strategy is how the sessions will be conducted in order to achieve the goal of three to six months from now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Short-term strategy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The short-term strategy is the strategy for each session. At the beginning of the session, we ask, &#8220;How far do you think you can go in this session to decide?&#8221; and begin by confirming the goal of the session.
