It rephrases the client’s negative frame of reference into a positive form.

The purpose of Reframing is to improve one’s way of life by approaching a situation from a different angle, changing one’s perspective, shifting one’s focus, or changing one’s interpretation, using everyone’s latent abilities.

The same thing can be seen and felt differently by different people, and from a certain angle it can be a strength or a weakness. Even when people experience the same thing, they judge it based on their own framework (frame) of values, so what may be a good event for one person may be the worst event for another person.
(Example.)
“There is only half of the money left” and “There is still half of the money left.”
Indecisive→”I can think deeply, considering various points of view.”
Weak-willed → “Able to respond flexibly to situations.”
Worrier → “Cautious”
Restless → “Curious”

Reframing the target situation

Imagine that the person has a tendency to use his/her colored glasses for different situations, which may be useful. Change the target situation without changing the meaning.
(Example.)
I am not good at routine work, but I am good at planning work where I think and create new things.

Reframing of consciousness (content)

Change the meaning of a situation.
(Example.)
Restructuring → “This is a chance to try a job I’ve wanted to do for a long time!”

Positive Reframing One of the most commonly used types of Reframing is positive reframing, which is positive implication.
