In order to unravel the contents of the coaching certification to be certified as a professional, we inevitably need to explain it as a &#8220;skill,&#8221; so &#8220;listening&#8221; is also positioned as a skill, but it is a topic that we would like to describe as &#8220;a skill beyond skills.<br>So, first, let us keep in mind the meaning of the kanji character for &#8220;listening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The word &#8220;listening&#8221; is a character that beautifully expresses the &#8220;power and splendor of the kanji&#8221; as an ideograph. In other words, &#8220;listening&#8221; in coaching means &#8220;for the coach to feel the client&#8217;s heart beyond the sound of his or her voice, not only with the ears but also with the ten eyes and the heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Showing sincere interest in what the other person is saying, the coach actively listens not only to what the person is saying, but also to what the person is not saying. You must listen with a deep understanding of the other person&#8217;s intentions. It is about listening as if you are sitting on the same bench as the other person and looking at the same scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clients feel a sense of security when they feel the presence of a coach who listens to them. They will be able to speak fully about what they are thinking and feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imagine a situation where you are the client, surrendering to the coach who is &#8220;listening&#8221; and talking about what you are feeling. Unlike reporting to your boss, you are just &#8220;talking about whatever comes into your head&#8221; without being conscious of logical thinking. The coach listens intently without interrupting you in the middle of your story.
