In coaching, the coach clarifies the client’s aspirations and goals, and helps the client to solve problems and take action toward achieving those goals on their own.
The coach does not solve problems on behalf of the client as a consultant does. The coach does not deal with “things” or “matters” as a consultant does, but rather creates a relationship based on empathy with “people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coach also focuses on helping the client change the necessary mindset and attitude to achieve his or her goals. The goal is to encourage the client to push the “motivation switch” on his or her own. And we back them up so that they can live their lives more like themselves.
The role of the coach is as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coach supports the client in creating a vision and envisions the future together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future can be envisioned when the client is clear about where he\/she is, what he\/she is doing, and where he\/she wants to go.
Therefore, the coach checks the client’s behavior, surroundings, and environment by using an assessment sheet and asking questions in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coach interacts with the client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coaching is a dialogue between the coach and the client. Therefore, the coach is encouraged to create an environment in which the client can talk in a natural manner. Each client is unique. The coach is also required to use appropriate language to match the individuality of the client. The coach explains to the client that “thoughts” and “feelings” are different and encourages understanding.
In the coaching session, the client becomes aware of “what is happening right now inside of him or her,” so that he or she can face up to what needs and feelings are happening inside of him or her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coach explores the client’s potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coach should not assume the client’s limitations. It is important to understand that the word “limit” is really ambiguous, and that the limit itself disappears depending on how the goal is set and perceived.
Objectives and goals are very important. In many cases where coaching does not work, we find that the commitment to these objectives and goals is the problem. Even when a client easily mentions “purpose” and “goal,” it is important to ask questions to confirm that the client is truly seeking them\u2026 until the client is comfortable with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coach explores the client’s growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, achieving goals is not the only outcome. What is important in coaching is to create an “engine of growth” within the client. We focus on “habits of thought and action” to keep the client running.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
